The inaugural Scenes of Solidarity Film Festival is a 2-day mini film festival at Get Free. Black Feminist Future recognizes the power of Black feminist filmmaking to inspire change, shape culture, uncover invisibilized histories, and speak truth to power. The Scenes of Solidarity Film Festival (SOS Film Fest) serves as a medium to activate our participants, collaborate with values-aligned artists, and honor filmmaking as an essential avenue to getting us free.

The Skill Up, Fight Back Liberation Learning Lab was developed to activate Black Feminist Future’s power building strategy by curating spaces for attendees to build skills in real time prepare for our political moment. Set up like a carnival or a book fair, there will be demos, spaces to ask questions, spaces to practice and role play to move attendees from Black feminisms in theory to action.

The Irresistible Revolution Art Gallery is a showcase of Black feminist visual art. Honoring our host city and its legacy of liberatory and innovative Black artistry, the Irresistible Revolution Art Gallery will prioritize showcasing the work of 3 Black feminist visual artists who are based in New Orleans. The art gallery spaces at Get Free will serve as a medium to further activate our participants, collaborate with values-aligned artists, and honor Black feminist art as a necessary tool to getting us free.scription goes here
